RIM blames iPad for PlayBook delay

This looks like sour grapes from RIM, seeing that the iPad is doing so extremely well.
Not so, because the fact is that the millions of iPad sold recently has taken a toll on touchscreen display supply. And one of the victims of this shortage is RIM's PlayBook.
The 7-inch tablet is going to be released in North America this April 19. That happens to be a month's delay already. The actual release date is in the first quarter of 2011.

The story is that Apple was smart enough anticipate demands for its iPhones and iPads by investing US$3.9 billion on pre-orders for about 136 million iPhone displays and 60 million iPad displays.

iPad 2 out tomorrow April 29

The official reseller for the iPad 2, Machines, is announcing that the iPad 2 is selling here in Malaysia on 29th April 2011.
